Bricks and Octane respects copyright. We respond to valid notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). DRAFT.
Our approach
Bricks and Octane does not rehost other people’s images or building instructions — we attribute creators and deep-link to the original source. If your work still appears here in a way you did not authorise, you can ask us to remove it.
Filing a takedown notice
A valid notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The URL(s) on Bricks and Octane where the material appears.
- Your contact details (name, email, and address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Designated agent
Send notices to our designated copyright agent at dmca@bricksandoctane.com. (Agent registration and postal address to be finalised before launch.)
What happens next
On a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material and make a good-faith effort to notify the person who posted it. Repeat infringers may lose access to Bricks and Octane.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including the material and its location, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error, and your consent to jurisdiction. We may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action.
