Family-safe by default
Bricks and Octane is for all ages. If a visitor tells us they are under 13, we switch to family-safe mode and collect as little as possible, in line with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
What under-13 mode means
- No behavioral tracking or analytics profiles.
- No personalized or targeted advertising.
- No personalized feed or recommendations.
- Only cookies needed to run the site.
- Any content a young visitor shares is pre-moderated before it appears.
What we store
We keep only an age range (under 13 or 13+) — never a child’s exact date of birth — plus the privacy settings needed to keep family-safe mode on.
Verifiable parental consent
Pending. Before a child can do more than browse (for example, submit a build), we will require verifiable parental consent through an approved provider. That verification is not yet connected — it is pending legal and vendor sign-off, so no under-13 account or submission features are enabled yet.
Parents & guardians
